Delete your Liftway data

Liftway (the workout tracker app, listed on Google Play as "Liftway: Gym Workout Tracker") is made by Justinas Kairys. This page explains how to delete your data, what gets deleted and what's kept. Liftway has no accounts, so there's no account to delete.

1. Your training data, on your phone

Your workouts, sets, exercises, templates, goals, personal records, bodyweight, body measurements, supplements and settings are stored only on your phone. We never receive them and hold no copy.

To delete them:

  1. If you might want them later, first export a backup: Settings → Backup → Export as JSON.
  2. Delete the Liftway app. On Android you can instead clear its data: phone Settings → Apps → Liftway → Storage → Clear storage.

This erases everything immediately and completely. If your phone's own backup (Google or iCloud) included the app's data, that copy is managed by Google or Apple under your account with them.

2. Crash reports and feedback we hold

The only data that reaches us is:

  • crash and error reports: technical error details, app version, phone model and system version, a random installation ID, recent screens, and a masked screen recording from around the error;
  • feedback you sent from the app: your message, plus your name and email if you filled them in.

To have them deleted:

  1. Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Liftway data".
  2. Include what helps find your data. Crash reports aren't linked to your name, so give roughly when the problem happened and your phone model. For feedback, give the email address you used, if any, and roughly when you sent it.

We delete the matching crash reports and feedback within one month and confirm by email.

3. What's kept, and for how long

  • Crash reports and feedback are deleted automatically after at most 90 days, even if you never ask.
  • Your deletion request email is kept as a record that we handled it, then deleted within 2 years.
  • App update checks (app version, platform and IP address) stay only in the logs of our update provider, Expo, for its own security and operations. They aren't linked to you, so they can't be picked out and deleted individually.
  • Google Play keeps its own records of your download under Google's privacy policy.

More detail is in the privacy policy. Questions: [email protected].
